Project Brief:

The Department of Municipalities and Transport initiated this project to provide safe, efficient access roads to the coastal rest houses at Al Haramiyah, Al Radeem, Al Shuwaihat and Tarief in Al Dhafrah Region.

Design and supervision were delivered, covering the CD, PD, DD, TD and Supervision stages to ensure high-quality implementation across all four locations.

Design Concept:

The design provides approximately 28 km of roads with full pavement design, street lighting, pedestrian crossings and associated infrastructure services connecting each rest house to the wider network.

A traffic and safety audit informed miscellaneous works including traffic detours, road geometry and surface-drainage modifications, service protection and traffic relocation during construction.
