Project Brief:

TRANSCO required consultancy services to add pumping capacity at Mussafah Pumping Station, which serves Mussafah, Al Wathba and Abu Dhabi Island via its Lot D and Lot F pump groups.

The upgrade responds to rising demand across ICADs, MBZ City and Rabdan, and compensates for supply following the decommissioning of the UAN plant.

Design Concept:

The design adds 24 MIGD of capacity to Lot-F and 15 MIGD to Lot-D, along with 1.40 km of new DN1600 transmission line linking the pump station to the existing network.

The scope also includes piping to bypass the Mussafah tank farm and all associated civil, electro-mechanical, instrumentation and telecommunication works.
