Project Brief:

Q Properties is enhancing the existing streetscape in Danet, Abu Dhabi; AE International was appointed to design the landscape and irrigation through a design-and-build contract with Gulf Dunes Landscaping.

The scope carries the streetscape design through Preliminary, Detailed, and Construction Documentation stages, with AE International also providing supervision as the development moves through on-going construction.

Design Concept:

Stripes and Layers is the guiding concept, complementing the development’s circular masterplan with a simple, relaxing landscape approach that doesn’t sacrifice aesthetics for the Danet community.

The design draws from linear and circular patterns, with gravel strips set between softscape areas to make the stripe-and-layer intent more visible, defined, and feasible across the development.
