Project Brief:

Al Dhafra Region Municipality (DRM) is providing roads and infrastructure for Commercial District Phase 1 in Madinat Zayed, with the scope covering validation, completion, and approvals for the design and tender documents.

The streetscape scope spans the design of soft and hardscape, shading, and furniture, carrying the project through Concept, Preliminary, and Detailed Design to Construction Documents and IFC.

Design Concept:

The natural sand ripples of nearby dunes inspired the site’s landscape lines, helping the design blend with its desert surroundings while celebrating the area’s heritage and identity.

Circles and geometry symbolize the Emirates’ connection to the world, giving the material palette a playful, interesting character; red furniture accents add a further sense of joy and festivity throughout.
