Project Brief:

ADSSC initiated the Asset Enhancement Scheme (AES) to meet population growth and future development demands across Abu Dhabi, covering the remaining Area 1 portions upstream of PS 7/13 towards the Abu Dhabi-Dubai border.

The scope runs from Inception Report through Catchment and Hydraulic Study, Investigation, Preliminary and Detailed Design, Value Engineering, Tendering and Construction and Warranty Period Supervision.

Design Concept:

The scheme maximises capacity utilisation of AES Area 1’s existing network, building on two earlier construction contracts (O-12733 and O-13153) and the latest DMT masterplans for the surrounding islands.

Hydraulic modelling and catchment study underpin the design, ensuring the Al Bahia extension integrates cleanly with the wider AES network rather than duplicating existing capacity.
