Project Brief:

Al Dhafrah Region Municipality (DRM), with Aldar Properties, initiated the Baynoonah development as part of the enhancement of public realm and infrastructure within Al Dhafrah Region, appointing AE International for the landscape design scope.

The scope covers the review and revalidation of previous design proposals, plus the development of softscape, hardscape, and site furnishing elements in line with the latest authority standards.

Design Concept:

The design concept for Baynoonah is inspired by the cultural identity and landscape character of Al Dhafrah Region, integrating clean linear forms and geometrical patterns influenced by traditional Mashrabiya motifs.

A cohesive palette of materials, planting, and urban elements enhances spatial organization and visual identity while maintaining a timeless aesthetic that reflects the character of the UAE.
