Project Brief:

DCT Abu Dhabi required relocation of the existing energy centre at Manarat Al Saadiyat, clearing the site earmarked for the relocated Expo 2020 Egyptian Pavilion, planned as an annex serving the adjacent buildings and future development.

The scope runs from concept design through Information for Construction, tendering, permitting and site supervision to completion, keeping Manarat Al Saadiyat’s art works, operations and public experience uninterrupted throughout construction.

Design Concept:

The design relocates redundant and active energy centre services to an optimum position within the plot, re-energising them to continue serving Manarat Al Saadiyat while freeing the site for the Expo Pavilion.

A phased transition between permanent and temporary services and back again is planned, coordinating closely with DCT and its business partners so construction proceeds without disrupting the campus.
