Project Brief:

Al Dhafrah Region Municipality, together with Aldar Properties, initiated the infrastructure and internal roads development for Madinat Zayed Sector 19 within Al Dhafrah Region, appointing AE International for the landscape design scope.

The scope includes the design and coordination of softscape, hardscape, streetscape elements, and urban furniture to create a cohesive, functional, and visually engaging public realm for the community.

Design Concept:

The design concept for Madinat Zayed Sector 19 is inspired by the linear and geometric patterns of traditional Mashrabiya and regional architectural elements found across the UAE and MENA region.

Structured geometries and a restrained material palette create a cohesive, functional environment while promoting visual continuity, user comfort, and ease of implementation and maintenance.
