AL BAYA SILAA

    AL BAYA SILAA, AL DHAFRAH REGION, ABU DHABI, UAE

    Project Brief:


    Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) and the Department of Municipalities & Transport (DMT) – Al Dhafrah Region Municipality (DRM) intended to provide Infrastructure and Internal Roads for New Lands in Baya Sila’a, Al-Dhafrah Region of Emirate of Abu Dhabi.


    The project includes the streetscape, consisting of soft and hardscape, for which AE was assigned to provide.


    Design Concept:


    The proposed design concept is inspired from the linear and diagonal patterns of Mashrabiya which is a very prominent pattern in UAE culture. Strips of gravel in between softscape areas make the pattern
    intent more visible and defined.
